Ignition for the Integra: Acura's New 2023 Sport Compact

Photo Credit: American Honda Motor Co., Inc. untitled In August, Honda’s luxury car brand Acura shared an intriguing teaser image accompanied by the revelation that a classic sport compact name would return. Included in a rather familiar close-up promotional shot capturing a headlamp and part of the Diamond Pentagon grille, the key focus was a nameplate reading “Integra”. A rear image of a five-door hatchback shape dropped in late September while a picture of a six-speed manual shifter released in mid-October clearly as a means to tantalize a modern premium sport compact crowd. After a 20-year hiatus, the Integra is once again part of the Acura lineup. A five-door hatchback touting a coupe-like shape, the 2023 Acura Integra will give entry-level luxury car buyers a strong taste of performance attitude. As was the case with the previous Integra models, the Honda Civic platform serves as the basis for this latest premium compact. While the new Civic hatchba...

Cadillac Previews XT5 with Fashion Designer Partnership

While all auto companies seek to be a fashion idol in one way or another, luxury car companies all aim to be the Coach bag or Armani suit of the wheeled kind. By moving their head office into New York City's trendy SoHo area, General Motors' luxury car gem Cadillac has been planting their ear to the ground to high-fashion. It appears Cadillac has quickly made use of contacts gained in its new neighbourhood. Through a collaboration announcement with fellow American brand and fashion designer Public School, Cadillac has provided a detailed tease of their latest, all-new crossover vehicle. The partnership for a Dubai Pre-Fall Collection for Public School in November will also coincide with launch of Cadillac's eagerly-awaited new model. As predicted, the newest Cadillac crossover vehicle is part of a name branding strategy. Bracing for the Premiere of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

First sold in late 1966, the Camaro was introduced as Chevrolet's countermeasure to the popular Ford Mustang in the pony car category. The bowtie's answer to the blue oval brought a long-running rivalry that has competed on the track as well as for the attention of drivers on the road. As the Camaro brand approaches its 50th anniversary, there will always be the stain on its legacy of a poorly-conceived General Motors decision that dropped Chevrolet's pony car. Between 2003 and 2009 model years, Chevrolet was forced to atone for their error. The reinstatement of the Chevrolet Camaro 2010 brought a valuable sense of new life to a brand and company requiring a personality. With the emotion and place of the Camaro now recognized, Chevrolet will debut the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro version of their pony car at the end of this week. Holding back the full vehicle, ...

Mazda Teases CX-3 Artwork Ahead of November's World Premiere in LA

Japanese automakers first inroads to the North American marketplace around half a century ago depended upon smaller vehicles. While Toyota and Honda allowed vehicles in their line-up to bloat to capacities suiting large-thinking tastes east of the Pacific Ocean, Mazda remains centered on being a big player of mainly compact vehicles. Mazda will again remind the world how big things come in small packages with the world premiere of a new compact crossover vehicle. Detailing the appearance of the Mazda CX-3, the continuing fostering of KODO design language is teased in a sketch the automaker provided. Vertically aligned grille, sweptback headlamps and pronounced side curves exhibited on the CX-3 design could foretell the arrival of Mazda's boldest styled crossover. Whether the teaser image is largely accurate or an embellishment will be unveiled on November 19th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Making its global debut at the 2014 Los An...
