Chevrolet Charges Forward with Bolt EV Production Car

Photo Credit: Chevrolet You could say Chevrolet recognized the 'current' stage of development for automobiles last year when they unveiled the Bolt EV concept . The electric car concept itself is far from being an imaginative design study but Chevrolet attached a strong sense of purpose behind the small vehicle first shown publicly at the 2015 North American International Auto Show. The last time such focus and devotion accompanied a radical vehicle proposal from Chevrolet, a 2007 plug-in hybrid concept car was sculpted into the production Volt sedan. Coming to life in a city set ablaze by the illumination of electric signs, the example of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV production car shines brightly. A debut at the 2016 CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the 2017 Bolt EV is the second year in a row Chevrolet chose to give the high-tech minded audience in Las Vegas the first look at their electrified production car. Last, year, the second-generation Chevrolet Volt preview  al...

Honda Civic Sedan Goes Radical for Tenth Generation

For decades, Honda has been able to depend upon their compact Civic as the bread and butter model for the brand. A reliable, trustworthy vehicle delivering much of what the overall driver is looking for in a car, the Honda Civic has been popular. In Canada, the Civic has spent the past 17 years as the best-selling car. Canada is also the proud home of a production facility for the economy car with the Alliston, Ontario manufacturing plant. A car that long enjoyed the spotlight as the example of efficient small cars, the current Civic in 2015 has arguably lost perspective of the automotive marketplace in the second decade of the 21 st century. The ninth-generation Honda Civic launched for the 2012 model year for the North American market was received poorly. In the following year, an unusual early revision of the Honda Civic took care of some problems but issues with the bland styling and dated engine technology plagued the car in recent years. The emerge of the mundan...

One of the last auto shows of the North American auto show circuit before spring driving weather invites us outdoors, the 2015 New York International Auto Show indicated automakers saved a few choice offerings after months of premieres and debuts. Taking a bite of the ‘Big Apple’ this year was the unveiling of Cadillac’s CT6 sedan , the new Nissan Maxima, the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu and the McLaren 570S . Observers of the show in New York were also treated to a vision of the returning Lincoln Continental in concept form . With an impression could be on the road in the near future, simply look at the current roadways in Canada to gauge what was likely the most important introduction at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. The Honda Civic has earned our respect for decades in Canada just as it has across the globe. Sizzling European Derived Scion iM Concept to Premiere at LA Auto Show

Since its introduction in 2002, Toyota's Scion brand has been fighting to gain traction as a hip and popular youth-oriented spectacle. Scion has been devoted in selling small, affordable vehicles while the North American Toyota brand converged itself on the mid-range of the auto sector. However, despite Scion's creative marketing and promises for personalization, the brand has not entirely succeeded in winning over customers. Recent additions of the FR-S and the iQ microcar has made Scion showrooms a more entertaining destination but the novelty of those vehicles appears to be exhausting. Scion sales in Canada following October is down compared to 2013. Division sales in the first 10 months of 2014 is down 18.8 percent compared to the same time last year. In order to reinvigorate the young blood of the Scion brand, a new hatchback concept car will debut at the...
