The 2016 Canadian International AutoShow arrives this weekend promising to gather an assorted collection of automobiles. Before going into any depth with the 2016 edition of the Toronto exhibition, I wish to provide some enlightenment to the spirit of the event by profiling last year’s. While I was able to detail some of the content through articles and with videos on YouTube, I regret that I wasn’t able to write a full review of last year’s Canadian International AutoShow. I’ll sum it up by explaining that I simply froze. Last year’s media day for the Canadian International AutoShow corresponded with one of the coldest days of 2015. In my round-trip to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, there was about 15 minutes I needed to walk outside. In the morning it was about -15 degrees Celsius and my trip back had me moving through temperatures of -25 degrees Celsius. As a member of the automotive press, February 12th was show time for Toronto's largest display of new automotive trends and technology . The 2015 Canadian International AutoShow was opened with some indications for the cast of some amazing, new players in the new vehicle sector this year. For 2015, there were some spectacular premieres being captured by cameras and being adored by the attendees. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, Range Rover Diesel, Audi TTS and the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor  were all part of the exhibition inside the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Through this time, we have awaiting some indication from the auto company that Canadian manufacturing would still be a component in their corporate direction. There has been so many negative signs that the subsidiary created by R.S. McLaughlin in the early 20th century could idle their manufacturing intentions in the country after 2016. Production of the Chevrolet Camaro is destined end at Oshawa Car Assembly after this year as assembly shifts to the company's Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan. The Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Regal are also produced on Oshawa's flexible assembly line by General Motors of Canada for the interim but there's skepticism on whether the current vehicle capacity will warrant giving the plant open, unless other vehicle is added...

As Canada resides in the middle of winter, time has a tendency of slowing to the point that the snow and cold weather seems to take an eternity to pass. Thankfully, there are moments of the frigid winter months for which many of us wait to transpire. Providing some acceleration to time in the city of Toronto, an assortment of indoor events entertains and intrigues. The International Boat Show, Sportsman Show as well as sporting events has kept the largest city in Canada amused. Even with the recent struggles for the Toronto Maple Leafs proving less than entertainment, you can safely say their story has been one of intrigue. Later this week, the doors of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will open for another annual pleasure, the 2015 Canadian International AutoShow.
