Canadians has long gravitated towards smaller, economical cars. Thankfully, the compact car segment is one where high value is now an expectation. Besides fuel efficiency and reliability, the 2016 model year compacts must also fulfil customers with a sense of pizazz. Chevrolet is pressing forward with the redesigned Cruze will build in a relatively respectable first-generation model. Powered by a turbocharged, direct-injected four-cylinder engine, the modernized appearance of the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze sedan will grace dealership showrooms by the spring of 2016.
Pricing for the upgraded 2016 model year Chevrolet compact car ahead of its release has been announced for the main trim levels. The entry-level 2016 Cruze L with a six-speed manual transmission will start at $15,995 plus the vehicle's $1,600 destination freight charge. Priced $180 less than the 2015 Cruze Limited model, the new Chevrolet Cruze L will introduce owners to a larger but lighter sedan. Standard equipped on the Cruze L is Chevrolet MyLink radio operating from a seven-inch touchscreen. Chevrolet MyLink includes compatibility with smart devices through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot. Safety of 10 standard airbags will also be found on all 2016 Chevrolet Cruze models.
While only one transmission only exists for the L trim, the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze enjoys the flexibility of manual and automatic gearboxes with the LS and LT. Manual versions priced lower with the Cruze LS version prepared for $18,845 while the LT will sell for $19,845. Automatic-equipped variants of the Chevrolet Cruze LS and LT will retail for $1,450 more than the manual models. One of the features Canadians may greatly appreciate with the LT model is standard heated front cloth seats. LED signature lighting and 16-inch aluminum wheels are also found on the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze LT.
At the top of the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze's model scale is the Premier trim. Featuring a Z-link design rear axle distinguishing it from the other Cruze line-up, the Premier version of the compact car's price is set at $23,895. Standard 17-inch alloy wheels are also included on the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Premier.
